A Hidden Gem
For a very long time Lang Co was a sleepy fishing village overlooked by many. But with a new world-class resort, it has become a place you cannot miss. The Resort also gives easy access to three amazing UNESCO heritage sites – the Old Town in Hoi An, the home of 13 successive emperors: Hue, and My Son, a lush jungle valley with tours through archaeological temple ruins.
Lang Co is also well known for its beach and lagoon. The beach has glorious white sand stretching across the island and crystal clear water. Do not bypass Hai Van Pass, which makes for a nice drive up the mountain with breathtaking views and some American outlook ruins from the Vietnamese war along the way.
The Perfume River stretches along and beyond Lang Co, and tourists often take a boat ride down the river. The trip gives travellers a look at the beautiful scenery of Vietnam and also the 70-storey high Thien Mu Pagoda.
