Hidden Piece of Paradise
Consistently named one of the Best Island in the World by various publications, Palawan is a hidden piece of paradise that boasts beautiful turquoise waters, jungle-filled mountains rising up from the ocean, and small fishing villages dotting the island.
Palawan is best known for the spectacular limestone formations in the Bacuit Archipelago of El Nido, but just north of El Nido is the adventure paradise of Coron. Coron Bay is dotted with idyllic islands that provide shelter and good camping spots, and some of the best snorkelling in the Philippines. Scuba divers flock to Coron to explore World War II wrecks off Busanga Island. Sea adventurers can spend a week kayaking around the islands, fishing for their food and basking in the serene area of isolation. If that doesn't get your adrenaline rushing, high points include island hopping around the Bacuit archipelago for the cliffs, sinkholes and lagoons.
