One of Laos’s premier tourist destinations and a UNESCO world heritage site is the city of Luang Prabang. Sitting in the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, Luang Prabang is a place of astonishing beauty. Those that want to grab some scenic views will love Luang Prabang. Climb to the top of Mount Phousi and grab a panoramic view of the town. It’s also a perfect location to watch the sunset. Head south and see the stunning Kuang Sii Waterfalls with opal blue pools of water. Finally before you leave, shop at the local markets and bring a souvenier home. The Phousi Market and Hmong Night Market will definitely have some handicrafts, silverware or paintings that will pique your interest.
