5 Newly Renovated Hotels in Singapore

With new hotels springing up in Singapore it's very easy to forget hotels that are renovating and modernising their facilities. These properties are long-standing in good locations with fresh deals to attract new local clients.


Traders Hotels are being rebranded to Jen Hotel. Located in the heart of Singapore, the Hotel Jen Tanglin has just completed its renovation. None of the 565 rooms are identical, but while each room has its own individual feel, they all have a touch of local flavour. The renovation has completely modernized the hotel with technology needed for the traveller on the go – USB charger outlets and complimentary Wifi. The new restaurant has a farmers market feel and there is also an on-the-go café for those who need to grab a bite on-the-run.


All rooms in both the Main Tower and Executive Wing have been renovated with classic, neutral tones and modernized to include Internet Protocol TVs and IP phones in all rooms. Carlton Hotel Singapore is conveniently located at the crossroad of the largest underground shopping mall in the city, busiest financial and convention centre, and minutes away from cultural and entertainment zones making it a great place to base yourself in this city.


Parkroyal on Beach Road in downtown Singapore introduced 130 newly refurbished Premier Rooms with nature-inspired design with floor to ceiling windows making the rooms light and airy. All rooms are equipped with high-speed wifi and 40-inch TVs, while power outlets have been installed near the bed stands for easy access and charging.


The Swissotel underwent renovations to its Premier and Swiss Select rooms giving a modern fresh feel and a calming environment to help you relax during your stay. Further renovations will see the Swiss Executive Club Lounge completed soon. All rooms now look after the business travellers with business facilities have also been extended to include high-speed internet access, voicemail, two separate IDD phones, fax and data ports. Located by the popular Clarke Quay, travellers have many dining options just a short walk away, making it an ideal base for dinning with clients during your business trip.


The Intercontinental has a strong emphasis on heritage with highlighted Peranakan influences in the Main Tower of the hotel. After a yearlong renovation rooms and suites located in the main building have been given a more vintage feel as well as the lobby, fitness centre and European restaurant have also been refreshed.
