Explore Northern Thailand
It was said that “a day in Chiang Mai is enough to see things around”. This is no longer true as Chiang Mai has become the largest and most culturally significant city in Northern Thailand. Wildlife enthusiasts would get a rush at the Chiang Mai Zoo, the Night Safari and the Mae Sa Elephant Camp. The Night Safari delivers a thrilling experience of being in the wild at night walking among the animals, feeding some of them, and petting tiger cubs. If that is not enough you could watch talented elephants perform in the Mae Sa Elephant Camp. After a life of wandering around the streets, these elephants have been adopted by a group of Thai people and trained to paint, play football and dance.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is by far the most prominent attraction in Chiang Mai. Located on top of the 8th largest mountain in Thailand, it is one of the most popular and holy Buddhist temples. It houses a glorious golden chedi where you may cast floral offerings or light joss sticks.
