Danang is the fourth largest city in Vietnam and offers tourists a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Danang boasts multiple pristine beaches that let travellers enjoy the feel of the soft sand and the gentle waves against their backs, with the Non Nuoc Beach being named as one of the best beaches in the world.
If you feel adventurous you could explore the Marble Mountains. Once used as a hospital during the Vietnamese War, the Mountains now hold many caves and tunnels for discovery. You could also climb the only open mountain to get a panorama view of the city.
Danang also has a rich history. It has been colonised by the French and also played a prominent role in the Vietnamese War. You may visit the Ba Na Mountains which were used by the French colonials as a retreat, giving you a picture of the bygone days. The Museum of Cham Sculptures will give you insight into the Cham culture. Built by the French with heavy Cham influences, the museum has numerous artifacts and sculptures characterised with Buddhist and Hindu influences.
